clutch slave seal

picked up a master and slave just in case as my pedal sometimes sticks down,losing fluid somewhere should the seal on the slave be distorted like this? can i take the seal off and straiten it out is it just a dust cover

dust cover ,remove and straighten it ,it will make it easier for rod to go through it
