got a weird one on the defender the offside rear bulb holder for the stop and tail light keeps melting and blowing fuses its on its third one tonight which lasted 10 mins before melting and blowing a fuse also tried new bulbs in it,i have removed the 3 wires from the connector and taped them but now only have one rear brake/tail light, fuse is now not blowing any ideas?

Is it one of the black plastic bulb holders that's like cheese?

Britpart do some pretty shocking pattern lights which melt after pressing the brake pedal for about 2 minutes.

They caused me endless issues, lamps turning themselves and backfeeding other circuits and all sorts. I ripped them all out and put OEM ones back on.

Had the same thing on my old 90. I bought some S**tPart ones from Newbury as they were £1 each! But they melted very quickly. Ended up buying S**tPart again but the G part stuff (OEM) from James French and these were OK.

You pay your money, you take your chance. But I (along with loads of other people) will not buy blue box stuff unless there is no other choice. An air filter that I bought still seems to be working though...
