Need Info ' rpm gauge wiring

Hi could any 1 help me with how to wire rpm gauge was fitted to my 200tdi but removed it and cannot remember how to rig it back up.
I have a durite 4000rpm and want to fit to my 19j td I have no idea were to start
Wires x6
Red/white
Yellow
Blue
Red
Black
Purple

We're does what wire go to . Thanks

Would have thought 2 for the back light, 2 for power and 2 for signal. As for which is which, no idea I'm afraid.

One of them will go to the W on the alternator, a pair will go to the back light, one will go to earth, one will go to a switched +ive from your ignition switch, and I'd tape off the other one!

Google can be a good source of wiring info if you don't have the fitting sheet!

I had searched google before asking but I couldn't find nout. Can I ask we're is the W on alternator on mine . Sorry to sound like a mong but I no fookall about wiring .
