folks, just fitted a 300 tdi (ex disco last of cable accelerator) to my 110, ive stripped the disco loom that was still attached and isolated the wires I know I need...
main alternator + 3 smaller, temp sender, oil pressure, stop solenoid, starter ,
however it is different to my previous 200's in that there is a black cap on the fip with a plug / 3 wires, two apparently went via a sensor on the head (inlet side half way back) and the third headed towards the bulkhead.
the sensor on the head has snapped off and needs replacing .
I assume sensor is temp / cold running related? is this correct?
where do the 3 wires go / get wired to?
what is the black cap ?? cold run device??
failing that does anyone have a link to a good disco wiring diagram?
cheers steve

without seeing a pic, or knowing the wire colours, its hard to tell.
I suspect the black thing by the fip is summat to do with the egr valve and is probably redundant.
the sensor in the head (aka the tough **** sensor), I believe brings on the over temperature light on the dash. by the time this operates, the damage is usually done. not all heads have the tapping for this and often the socket is tied up out of the way.
hope this helps!
(alternatively, have a look at the electrical section on rave)

if its the plug im thinking of, its the throttle position sensor for the EGR valve...
