Cruise control master switch not working

The steering wheel buttons don't light up, at least they don't on mine.
The master switch should light up when pressed. Does the cruise control work?
The cruise control is operated by the EDC on the diesel, check the switch and wiring for starters. Download RAVE if you don't already have it.

Will be a blown bulb if cruise is otherwise fully functional. Otherwise as Data says.

Yes, cruise control not working at all. master switch light not illuminating.

Check wiring at the back of the switch.
Sorry Mate, I don't want to come across as being dim but, how do I access the back of the switch?. Cheers, cfc123
The 'official' way is to remove the dash, well almost. You start back in the cubby box and work your way forward.
I have heard of some people gently levering the individual switch out but, with walnut in mine, have never tried it.
What I would do, as cruise is hardly essential, is look for anything else that you'd like to do behind the dash; HEVAC bulbs, blend motors, any other failed bulbs etc and then read up on how to strip it out and do it once.

It's not difficult, but it is rather tedious: everything is held in by everything else and the master holders are the side panels. So you need to remove them, then remove the instrument binnacle, and the hevac and then the fascia unit.
The cruise control ECU is behind the instrument binnacle so you could check that too
All instructions are in RAVE, and there are some good guides on rangerovers.net
RAVE is the workshop manual and if you have a look at the top of the Range Rover front page you'll find that WAMMERS has put it there for anyone to download.
