Well there is a really stupid answer to a not so stupid question.

if you do a search there are lots of info on my answer, I never said it was a perminit fix. late at nite would work if you lost your lights.

Fuses blow for a reason and the rating is designed to protect whatever circuit the fuse is in.

have used household fusewire (remember that stuff )before now, the closest I can get, or adding them together to get the required ampage, usually does for an emergency repair.

Motorist discount centre in Christchurch had them last time I went in. but dorset autospares will definatly have them and there one of them on the industrial estate by you where that texaco garage is. they have loads of stuff like that normally
