It sounds like a pedal switch/ throttle pot timing issue. Has any work been done that would require the throttle cable be removed?
To check pedal free play you need a standard ruler. Place the ruler next to the pedal with it at rest. Then gently push the pedal down with your hand until you feel it get slightly stiffer to push. This is the point where the free play has been taken up. This free play movement should be around 12 mm or 1/2 " in old money. If the free play is not what is should be, post back and I'll explain how to correct it

That's likely your problem then. Check the free play at the pedal and post your measurements

And the light is still coming on?
There are 2 possible faults related to the throttle. 1 pedal switch has been knocked out of adjustment. Make sure it's correctly pushed into the pedal pad. Or the TPS has failed which isn't very common. Was the light on before the cable was changed?
The only other reason for the light would be a faulty switch on the gearbox but that isn't common.

yes the light was on when I got the car changed the relay ,brake switch did not work so got a hawkeye when I clear all the faults the light goes out but as soon as I drive car abs light goes out hdc light comes on

Sounds like the throttle pedal switch to me. They are adjustable but can fail too.

It is for the valve in the servo pipe on pre 2003MY cars.
