Just a thought, people with Diesels and cooling problems, couldn't you fit the rad from a V8?? now providing you don't have a viscous fan in the way a couple of custom hoses and you’d be fine?? And this would be a much better system than the top in top out system??

Is there any dimension differences in the rads??
Is the flow direction the same??
What would the change in water head being moved do to the water pump??
Is the core thickness of the V8 rad going to cause over cooling?
Only issues i can think of..

The only thing I can think is that the hoses would have to cross where the standard fan would normally be? but other than that it would fit?

also over cooling would be cancelled out by a working thermostat

Look, if you are talking about a DSE overheating in "UK", then you have a problem.
stat, water pump, radiator, and the viscous fan (the usual components), one or several had fail.

So the "solution" (they can go wrong, without warning), is to put Datateks MOD, for the AC fan, and put a LED or another solution inside the car, to know when the mod is activated.
It´s a "cheap" solution.

I am not saying I have any issues with cooling? I was just asking!!

temp sits at 11:30 ish on the dial and never moves even when towing! never lose a drop of coolant either

It´s the other way, V8 are more thin vs diesel.

Maybe if you got an auto but what about the gearbox cooler or are they the same as petrols ?
