Hi All

The 18" Alloys we have on our sport are looking a right state, 2 are not too bad but the other 2 are so badly corroded its unreal.

Looking at options, if its worth getting them refurbished properly, or maybe buying some new alloys off the net.

We live in Worcestershire if anybody can recommend a refurb Company?
Only problem with that would be that the vehicle would be off the road while its done - unless I get a cheapo set of 2nd hand ones off e-bay to keep it running....

Failing that recommendations on good value, reasonable quality new alloys?

Any advice/suggestions/ideas?

Ha, I'm in the same boat. Just bought my freelander and one of the 18" alloys is shot. I was looking at using a local powder coating company in Worcester. They charge £50 per bare rim. Where in Worcestershire r u?

Droitwich, I'd be interested to know who you've been talking to?

I've been mainly looking at companies online so far, most near Birmingham and prices vary tremendously!

Seriously considering new ones, lots available for < £450. Then we could sell the 2 decent 18" Freelander ones on eBay, my get £150?? Total cost to change would then be £300.

Hi all,
New to this so here goes.
I also have just got a freelander and my wheels also are not great. Have been looking on eBay for 16" wheels to give a better tyre option as recommended by the local Landrover dealer. Has any one found a nice set on eBay or from any other outlet?

Well I'm in claines so very close to u blue. It's blackpole powder coaters. Spoke to them today and they said they'd charge £40 per rim. Sand blast, smooth divets, then silver finish. Tyre needs popping off the rim though but any local tyre fitter should do that then re balance and seal for £10. There's a few in brum. A mate used one for his Ronal 18" audi a4 alloy and that was a good finish. Cost about the same. There's also Birmingham city powder coaters in digbeth area but I've heard mixed reviews.
