Resynch my key fobs

Hi guys can anybody tell me how to resynch my key fobs both wont do anything from the buttons have tried what it says in the book and still no joy have put good quality batteries in them both. Only had the p38 for 2 weeks and here we go with the problems!!! Thanks Tony

More info. Year of car any messages on dash display?

Hi there are no messages showing and the car is a 1999 dhse 2.5 diesel everything else is fine just buttons wont work red light is flashing when pressed. The book said to put the key in the starter switch and it would be resynched did this and nothing is there something else that i should be doing or is there another way to do it many thanks tony

The 99 MY had easy sync which is just to put the key in the ignition switch...the Coil in the ignition barrell excites the fob and the fob sends a signal to the RF receiver, the BeCM then issues a new sync code back to the key....

Only things that will stop the sync, is a duff RF receiver or the BeCM has gone into a Alarmed state....

Mozz Smith can usually get good results, send him a PM....Rick-the-Pick is the BeCM genius...a quick message to him may help too....

First check....when you put the key in the ignition barrell, does the red LED flash on the fob??

Second Check....make sure the blue aerial lead is connected to the RF receiver under the plastic trim behind the drivers sdie rear seat under the quarter light....

If they check out, get in touch with Mozz and/or Rick

Mines a 2000M/Y had to do the turn key in lock press the buttons thing to re sync my fob, have you tryed that ?
