Any one know what siZe the bolt that goes into the vcu is? I've managed to strip mine getting the old vcu off!

I've got a nice new VCU & support bearings sitting in the conservatory ready to fit, I had planned to do them yesterday but for some reason decided against it!

17mm spanner needed and the part number is TYG100510. Don't know thread size.

Taken a tad longer than I hoped but just need to fit it back on!

Did some shopping around and found Island 4x4 to be the cheapest for new VCU & GKN support bearings, £450 inc free P&P (now waiting for several people to say that the exact same parts are available cheaper elsewhere!).
Of course if you go for a reconditioned VCU or cheaper support bearings then you can make a significant saving but that is personal preference.

will be getting bearings that are recommended from here but my vcu will prob be coming from Bells its all i ever read on here when VCU's are spoken about lol

I can't feel my feet but I also can't feel strain when on full lock !

Went for recon, been told they are just As good and 2/3 of the price
