form the review sites i can now find they seem to be a good tyre least 4 star..

im going to invest in them at the end of the month and can let you no what there like as winter is here i will soon tell if there good in the wet lol

Why compromise?

Because I had to sell two of my future children into slavery to buy my BFGs !! Think of how many VCU and IRD's affordable tyres will save :).

But if you're going to buy a hippo and keep it for more than 5 years then I still say save up and buy BFG or Pirelli.

it was the price that put me off to start with but some places want like £70 a tyre for them it was just this site had them for that price. and i did managed to find them even cheaper direct from a bulk buyer for only £52 each..

i dnt drive like an idiot as i normaly have least 1 of my kids with me so i will report once i bought fitted and tested ( buying end of month as i look about for good deals)

For comparison, those tyres are G fuel, E wet and 73db, my BFG's are G fuel, C wet and 77db.

I know which I'd prefer !!! According to my calculations it looks like an E rated tyre would take around 10 meters more to stop than a class C tyres. Make sure you know the implications before you buy :).

You're absolutely right, it's better to have new tyres than old worn ones :). I still say try them out as alot of people can't afford the £650 for premium branded tyres, if we had a budget tyre that we had at least tried then we'd have something to reccomend for the newbs coming here :). Can't complain when a full set will put you back a mere £240!!

True;)

I looked at cheaper tyres but weighing everything up it's false economy

On a Freelander?

I've seen them fitted to quite a few 4x4's lately. They did really well on my mates D3. They were my second choice after BFG's :).

For anyone who isn't a flash git who's a sucker for aggressive tread and phat white lettering I;d say for for the grabbers :).
