No it seemed a lot of people bought new locks to fix this issue with the spring and postage back for the lock being an average of 14 + 2 for spring is 16 then a pint whilst fixing it was just an offer of help but what you wrote was over the top. Oh well.

Not really .we have a free guide on here on how to fix it and the part is a £2 max spring.
The job takes bugger all time to do not different than fixing a leaking sunroof

I said average that means 50% is above that didn't realise people would be so anal. Would it have been better if it said for the cost of the part plus postage.

Im here to help you guys, if you need any help I charge £50 an hour, tis purely to help you guys though, not in it for myself obviously although there is a charge but im definitly here to help, if you need your window winding down just drive to me and I will help out with the winding and then your window will be open, I can do boots as well, even bonnets...
To the OP, anyone can rebuild the locks, its a simple and common fault, what your proposing is not helping its a commercial proposition, what happens when the locks go missing in the post, you gonna buy a new one? What about if the fixed lock fails a week later, you gonna replace it? You can't make profit from helping, thats not helping thats profiteering...

i genuinely want to help, but following some much abuse from you members.
please delete this thread, and my account, if you think it spam, then sorry, it wasnt meant to be, it was meant to be a offer of help to those who have landies but not the know how or the confidence to under take some mechanical items.

Another valid point as he'd need the key that matches the lock in order to test it or at least a copy

also means you cant lock yours without it so that must be an insurance problem and he has your address then too

What about if we was to supply the air along with the tyre, Les can then fit said air and post back, that way it should help reduce importation fees possibly?
