Ok so I understand that if u drive slower u get better mpg (motorway) but I've just done the same journey and done it in quarter of a tank

! the first 50 miles was done at 70-75 mph and the fuel consumption didn't seam to improve, I dropped it down to 60-65 mph and it improved massively, being the previous owner of a Nissan pulsar gtir and a mk3 Astra gsi u can understand I like having a lead foot! Now could this ' lead foot ' be the problem?? As its Christmas I can't realy afford to brim the tank
!!
The power issue and engine management light issue, seem to have been cured.
It seems to be running sweet as n it's pulling through all the gears sweet enough.
Any more info u people need just shout.
