Hi All,

i have a P38 Range Rover Ltd Edition 4.6HSE Auto with 122,000 miles on it. it is superbly clean inside and out service history to 88,000 all works fine and dandy with roof rails and sliders.

sat nav, 6 disc multichanger, leather alloys fogs cruise climate all works

so the question is ::::: HOW MUCH IS IT WORTH????

Your help would be appreciated

I imagine it really depends on the market. I've seem some P38s selling for upwards of 7k, other struggle to break 2k. If you don't want a quick sale go in high but as you can get a L322 for around 7k these days, I think you're looking at no more than 4k if you're really lucky.

You'll probably be able to shift it for that, but they are slow to move.

Pre 2000 are not as desirable and its a buyers market
But based on what I've seen if its a real good one then up to 4000
But with that said most are selling from 1500 to 3000
If I was you I'd look on eBay and auto trader find one like yours and see if it sells at the price they have it up for
A mate of mine has 3 p38 range rovers two diesel and one V8 the diesel ones go for more money as you would expect but the v8 he bought for 1500 and that was a 1996 one owner car fsh both keys 80k and its very clean all most mint

i am not too sure to be honest how can i tell?
Then how do you know it is a limited edition model you have??

Confused....

Some have a decal on the back or wings, on the slam panel or internal...

In 1998 they released a few limited editions, including the DSE+, Vogue 50, dHSE, County and Vogue SE which joined the HSE+ and CARiN that were released in 1997, and of course the Autobiography series that were released from 1996....

If you don't know which limited edition you have - why did you say you have one?

Thanks for this discostew38 very useful

I had a van for sale and the guy who wanted it had this car , he was desperate for my van but couldnt raise the money so i took this not really wanting it but it helped him out and i ended up with it!!!!

this has two keys and is nigh on mint as well

Oh I see....

Could contact your local Dealer, the Gaydon Heritage people or the Range Rover Register....

Most often there is a telltale decal somewhere, the Vogue 50's had a badge on the back, Autobiography's had them on the tail and inside on the centre console, HSE+ & DSE+ not sure, dHSE had it on the tail, same with Vogue SE and County's.....

Not sure on the CARiN model, but if you have SatNav in a '98 - it could be an Autobiography or a CARiN.....

Autobiography models have an ID plate on the slam panel giving build date and order number, and obviously the purchase paperwork!

Light ribbing and micky taking is the norm on Landyzone...as Sirus says in the link above - Banter and joking around is common place, but the vast sea of knowledge on here is immense - sometimes a thick skin is needed, and a 'water of a ducks back' attitude to the p!ss taking....

But he ain't wrong - a working P38 without problems is a rare thing indeed!
