Nope, I detest V engines as a whole, 2 too many heads as well as all the other things. Up to 2.5 litres 4 cylinders is enough then 6 cylinders up to about 5 litres

Not a lot of difference actually. The diesel driver however knows that his vehicle is far less likely to disappear in a cloud of steam at some stage.

Your 4.6 litre V8 may be a little quicker than my chipped 2.5 litre diesel but i bet it's not by much.

Well a 4.6 litre V8 petrol engine, even one that is prone to boiling over, is highly likely to have a bit more grunt and tractability than a 2.5 litre diesel. Mine was chipped when i bought it and i have no complaints about it's performance. You keep mentioning slow, mine is not slow by any stretch of the imagination. It may not beat yours in a quarter mile sprint, but if i needed to do that i would get the 4.7 litre Porsche out of the garage.

When was speed an issue with a Range Rover? If you wanted a fast vehicle, buy a sports car or super saloon. If you want a muck mover, get a Defender or Hilux. If you want to drive around in luxury while still have the ability to get the wheels muddy, you get a Range Rover. Driving one fast is like trying to drive a Rolls Royce fast. Just silly.

The issue was fuel duty originally. Diesal drivers
