Thinking of swapping my Doors for a set of Series 3 doors

I have landrover 90 push button doors that are rusty to **** at the bottom etc! and i prefer the Series 3 doors anyway i think they look cooler! ANYWAY i have seen the striker plates etc need to be changed. What are everyones views on doing this swap i have read the series doors last longer etc is this true?

go for it. my plan is in the summer to make it soft top and take the door tops off (90 cabriolet). i have to finish the wood for the speakers with paint although at the moment its like a daimler with the wood finish and it has heated seats along with aircon (front flaps open) so its top of the range;)

I love my series doors and soft top, it's great in the summer time. It's worth drilling a hole in the door frame and spraying some waxoyl in them also.

My door cards are made of marine grade ply with nylon automotive carpet over the top and they have held up well for a few years now. As a bonus you can fit speakers and pockets/nets to them far easier than normal 1 piece doors.

My only complaints would be that the series windows are easy to break into and it's very difficult to climb out of a series window if you get stuck in deep mud and are unable to open the door!
