You should also now go to the "Introduce Yourself" part of the forum and do just that. Say your hellos and tell us what kind of car you drive. Most of the peeps here are British. You know how they are about etiquette!

I would of Been A fool not introduce myself first!

I've saved money in just diagnostic fee's alone.

Until now, I really had no common sense of self diagnosing my range; we all have 5 senses but rarely anything in common. So I take information seriously.. Especially great info!

That being said... I'll go into the pump tomorrow morning once I get home from work.

Just a thought.
Before you start stripping pumps try removing the tank filler cap and see if the pump brings fuel up. If your tank's not ventilating you could be trying to overcome a partial vacuum.

Oh, and if you're still having problems, get yourself into the Range Rover section where you'll find the experts on this car and engine.

Was it from venting the tank?

That's just it I'm sure, but I'm pretty sure..

To let you know what I did..

Opened tank door
Put key in position 2
Opened the gas cap
I put my finger in the tank hole to open the flap
Cap off went to start from passenger side
Rather than the fuel starve hesitation I was getting, I got the 'I left my lights on & need a jump' hesitation.
I opened the hood & checked the fuel rail..
Fuel came shooting out; hasn't been since I put the new filter yesterday morning. Actually, the first time fuel has even went through the filter since I changed it.

Now I'm waiting to borrow back 'my' charger from a friend..
Progress is a slow process but the end is so rewarding!

I've never seen it, but I've read online that sometimes the vent blockage is so bad that it actually can cause the fuel tank to get deformed from the suction? Any sign of that?

If your pump is working you should have seen a very noticeable surge of fuel when the ignition was turned on. If it was just dribbling , that doesn't count. No surge, no pump. If you can still hear the pump, and no surge, it's the pump, **********************************

or less likely, but still possible, your tank isn't venting properly.

I knew I remembered you saying this!
