Towing a Defender

I did a search but I think I may be using the wrong words?:behindsofa:

In the highly unlikely event that my Pumkin ever broke down,

1. I can only use a full bed wreker/tow truck? I cant use the regular truck that picks up the front or rear of the vehicle?

2. Can I get a pull from someone, even if its a few miles?

you can get a suspended tow if you removed the propshaft to the axle that's still on the road.

a normal 4wheels down tow is fine for peace of mind put lo/hi into neutral

1. I can only use a full bed wreker/tow truck?That's the prefered towing method anyway I cant use the regular truck that picks up the front or rear of the vehicle? You would need to drop the prop shaft or else use towing dollies if the vehicle was suspend towed

2. Can I get a pull from someone, even if its a few miles? Yes. Both main gearstick and transfer lever in neutral. If the vehicle has a suspected gearbox issue you will need to remove the props
