Why hello!

I am 16 years of age, and today my dad sold me his Series IIA for £1700 - it's used up nearly all of my saved money, but I'm sure it's money well spent! As of yet, I haven't learnt to drive (I am 16, after all) but I'll be 17 soon and will be learning almost instantly, assuming I can fund it!

I hope this site will help me throughout my Land Rover owning career (which undoubtedly it will - it already needs new brakes :/) for many happy years!

I hope your dad is keeping the money that you paid him safe and is intending to give it back in a few years time cos otherwise we'll have to send the boys around to deck him for nicking all yer pocket money.

Make sure that your first investment is some security measures because unfortunately there are plenty of peeps around at the moment who prefer to nick landys rather than save up for em like you.

I do have pictures, but they're on my phone and I can't find the blinking cable to upload them. But I will put them up eventually
As for security measures, it's missing a couple of wheels at the moment so they can't exactly drive off with it xD The person who had it before my dad fitted an immobiliser (I think), and I do have a steering wheel lock, but dad might want that for his one he's getting Saturday (Series 2 LWB). Are there any other things I should look into, security wise?
