Rear door - window seal and wiper

Hi all,

1. Stripping the rear door soon and the black seal that fits between the window and the inner securing trim needs replacing. Anyone know what this trim is called and where I can find it online?
2. Rear wiper motor needs replacing, but at £60+ a pop I'm not too enthused about swapping it. Never owned a Landy before and was wondering if the rear wiper was actually of any use - does anyone use it regularly enough to think "phew, glad I've got that!" ?

Rear windscreen wiper - don't have one but have seriously considered fitting - most the time I'm completely reliant on the door mirrors as the rear window becomes impossible to see through very quickly!

Is that because of rain or misting up? You see I could keep the demister and dump the wiper. Station, may I ask, where do you get your part numbers because having the part number for the glazing strip saves me loads of searching time?

Hmmm, torn between really. If only that motor was cheaper than it is.

More due to mud and crud on the outside!

Part numbers - the mods created a sticky using some links I found shortly after buying my Defender, as I found it far easier to search google by part number than name.

Basically exploded parts diagrams for Defender 90 and 110 - they're at the top of the first page in this Defender section titled 'Part Numbers and Paint Colours'

Got the rear seal, but was wondering how you'd fix it in place whilst refitting the window? No nails, perhaps?

I used Dum Dum sealant when fitting glass into my new rear door..
