I'm sure this must have been asked before, but as I'm new to this forum here goes.........

I have a Range Rover (2003) HSE which I have now owned for almost 5 years, and last night when I got in the car to travel home from work, I turned on the headlights and all was fine, but then within a few seconds the dashboard lights (and console) went very dim almost out.

On the way home I has cause to stop the car at a level crossing so I switched everything off and on again, and again for a few seconds the dash lights came on but then dimmed again.

Same thing this morning on the way to work.

I have very little experience of cars (since my youth when I was shown how to change a cylinder head on a Morris Minor) so can any replies take this into account?

Many Thanks

:)

Try turning them up with the switch on top of the indicator stalk. Left to dim right to brighten. After brightening fully if you press the switch down instrument lamps will stay bright but message centre will dim.
