Mate, I'm a member of various other motor forums and they are all helpful without the sarcasm. Pity its so different here.

But it just is - that's what LZ is about and is why it is different to other LR Forums.

In amongst the banter and general ripping of **** you'll get top advice - you just need to have a thick skin and roll with it, or join another forum such as LRO.

Guess it's horses for courses.

To be fair, you got one possible straight answer, Soloby's was damn funny, and Wiltshire wsa not being unfair - a bit more info from you would have helped

Noises are hard enough to diagnose as it is, so some idea of where it's coming from, whether it varies with speed, happens on acceleration, deceleration, breaking, and your best description of wha it sounds like would have helped.

Above is intended to be helpful - personally I love this forum and have met some great people (in cyber world) that I know would do what they can to help me out

Anyway - did you check the mudguard? Is there in fact a stone in the tyre?

If not jack up the corner you think it's coming from - spin the wheel - do you hear it? Might be bearing, might be something in the brake caliper, could be CV

Hold the wheel and move up and down/left and right - could be bearing or swivel pins

Shake hard all steering components - could be ball joint on any part
