Garage in Taunton Somerset

Hi can any one recommend a garage in the taunton or surrounding areas (but not country landrovers)that are honest and reasonably priced please? I have a couple of problems with my 2003 discovery that need sorting asap thanks in advance

The past couple of weeks I have heard a Squealing sound coming from the front of the car when I accelerate and today I came home and saw that I've lost water from the header tank.

Could well be.......unless squealing is belts?

When you say you've lost water, how much?

Filled it up three times so far First time it went straight through to the road repeated the step and half an hour later it was nearly empty.I have just filled it again so will see in the morning.

Self help is a quick look and if possible a photo of leaking area.

TD5 pump is about £15-£28 depending on supplier via net.

Time to stop and get it fixed is now as the heads on a td5 which i guess you have are £xxxxxxx

If it is a v8 then you can easily kill it by low on water

not good.......best thing is to top up, check engine oil for mayonnaise, run the engine (making sure it doesn't low on water) and check for any sign of a leak. If you see it and you dont know what it is take a photo and post it here and someone will tell you what you need.

At least then you can go to a mechanic knowing what the problem is.....
Also check for lots of white smoke from the exhaust.
