My land rovers like a swimming pool!

ive recently put new door seals on my 2007 land rover to try and stop it raining in but it still carries on.
also in the back as well its really wet and its coming from the corners can any one help on this to prevent this

Don't worry they all leak get used to it

They do indeed tend leak like a sieve. Land Rover actually had to produce a 'water ingress manual' to take care of the problem. Leaks can be cured but it's a complete botch to sort. Dumdum putty, silicone sealant and tape are what it takes. I feel happier knowing that I haven't got that stuff hidden everywhere!

lol - (my new to me) defender leaks in many places - doesnt bother me as long as the seat is dry when I get in
I get a lot of driving rain where I live which is handy in the defender

It's a battle you won't win, but tif you're up for the challenge, there's a Defender Water Ingress document

A search shoiuld find it for you - tells you all the places to check, and materials to use

I got bored of trying to fix mine so I just painted the roof and sills with waxoyl that I had left over from coating the chassis. Amazingly the leaks stopped for now. But then my landy is 27 years old and so I am less worried about painting it with a brush and waxoyl than perhaps you would with a nice shiny new one!
