Mainly on tarmac'd surfaces, But also on iced up ground.

In deep fresh snow, and esp if playing on grass covered snow or off road they'll be great.

In compacted snow, probably still ok, so long as the lugs still dig in.

On icy compacted snow probably not as good as AT's as the lugs won't likely cut through very well and will just slip on the surface.

In slush I suspect they'll be good in terms of nor floating on the surface of the slush, but then it'll be down to how much grip they have on wet tarmac.

Drive sensible and they should get you anywhere.

If you want improved ability then see if you can find somewhere to siped them.

Siping (rubber) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Very common in the US/Canada, but don't know where in the UK.

had 265/75r16 greenway macho (same tread pattern) on my 110 last year and had no issues at all in the snow. But then i didnt think they were that bad in the wet either.

Maybe its down to the driver as well as the tyre, if you are driving a 2 ton house brick with ****e brakes then its probably not a good idea to throw it around like a 200+bhp subaru :)
