Snow tyres for a P38

Hi Lads,

I bought a new set of tyres for my defender a couple weeks back there 255/70/16 now i have a fair bit of thread left on the tyres still on the defender so in no rush to change them. here's a pic of what they look like

so here's my question......

i have a set of 16" alloys on an old P38 that i have scrapped. will they fit? and will they work for the snow?

they should fit and not rub on a p38 as for the snow there ****e tyres for it go for a set of mud tyres i have cooper stt on my disco there awesome in the snow

I already have general grabber AT2's 255/55/18 with black hurricane alloys. but here got 2-3 foot of snow last year. ive just moved to the area so want to be ready. i also have 4 snow chains in the boot in the spare tyre!!

Are your chains correct for the Rangie? You can only use certain chains because of the available space behind the front wheel, I believe that they're smaller links.

Well each link is no bigger than a £1 coin in length. there sized to fit vehicles with 255/55/18 tyres and for heavy vehicles in excess of 2500KG and small HGV's they were around £70 a set so £140 in total. i reckon there going to be perfect for the snow.
