This post is on behalf of a friend. He is loosing about 2 ltrs of coolant a week. There are know signs of a leak underneath and the pipes are dry around joins and are all secure. There is no water in the foot wells either (i thought it could of been leaking at the heater matrix). he has just had his head pressure tested as well and all was fine! I cant think were it could all be going, the only thing i can think of is that there could be a small split in one of the pipes and when they are getting hot then it could leak a bit, but not that much!

Its a 300tdi by the way.

cheers

radiator pressure cap but it seems excessive amount, so you say head presure tesed - you mean it has been rebuilt?

dont normally need to rad leak allways leaves wet patch ,there more likely fail by not cooling all over core ,or p gasket leaks ,cap usually leaves stain around tank

cooling system pressure test, may only loose water when hot so could be head gasket or head still.
