Hi guys after all the probs if been haveing over the last few weeks i think i might have one more
This morning i had to put the heaters on,only to find they blow cold! Even when on hi
No matter what setting i use all the vents blow cold
This is the first time ive used the heaters since i fitted a new radiator waterpump thermostat ect
Could it just be an air lock? Even though i did all this work about 3 weeks and 100miles ago? Or am i looking at a big problem
whats the best way to blead the heater matrix?

Go on, spoil yourself, give us a clue which heater system you've got.

Or even which car you've got.

Well if the heater worked before (previous owner hasn't bypassed it) then yes, you've basically answered your own question. Start with it cold and disconnect the heater pipes one at a time and see what comes out. Then get it hot and - carefully - feel the feed pipes and see if they're getting hot.

i thought an air lock would self clear before now
done over 100miles in it

Disconnecting the heater pipes may cause the "O" rings to leak. Engine cold and idling, cap off expansion tank, rapidly squeeze and release pipes to radiator to encourage flow, occasionally rev the engine for a few seconds, you will know when the air is out the system as the fluid level will drop in the expansion tank. I find it's easier if the car is pointing uphill slightly.

Thanks for all you help but i think ive found the problem and i think its a big one
Few weeks back i towed my caravan out and it overheated anyway i fitted new radiator waterpump ect
And i think the headgasket might have gone when it overheared cos it just took 3 liters of water

Or you didn't get the air out when you did the RAD etc and had a really good airlock. Make sure you get all the air out and run it for a while before jumping to dramatic conclusions.
