Depends where about you are but I use gratech and find them very good. They have two shops one in braintree and maldon I think.

Harris Mayes in South West Herts - look after my RR Classic and Defender - very good - their number is 01923 711800, and they are dead sensible about courtesy cars, you just pay for the petrol. Older vehicle workshop rate is £65 per hour, and they have a good attitude to parts supply (wherever is best value for money). About 10 mins from j 17 or 18 of the M25.

got a letter today from gratech saying they are shutting down their braintree shop and just having the maldon site, bit of a pain in the arse for me(have to do the some of the work myself now!!).

I'd heard that as well, times are hard for the small indies at the moment, my sons a mechanic on the springwood and has been laid off as well

Its a real shame as i have nothing but good to say about them, but i think its abit far to be taking it to maldon for me, whats the indie you mentioned like? ive not heard of them before.

They're at Cut Maple just past Gosfield airfield on the way to Sible Headingham. I've not used them but have had good reports from friends
