I totally agree. the sooner you and 2001ytd4 set it up yourselves and **** off from here the better.

'Here' being the Freelander Forum Gratch? IF you dont like us, you know where the door is .... but I suspect its the closet one you are really searching for :D

In answer to "Gratch".
Hi Mate!!!!!!! Love your rhetoric!!!!!! I"m surprised this hallowed forum allow the "F" word.
But just to let you know, I"ve owned quite a few LandRovers, and at 69 years of age still want a Landrover in which I can drive around in comfort and go off road should the need arise. We don"t all happen to be "Macho" grease under their fingernails off roaders, but I"ve been there, done it and got the F...ing T shirt!!!!!!!!!! By the way, love your Photo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice one Dave :D

I think peeps would be betterer oft staying on here than making up their own forum. Its been tried before on other forums and failed. Landyzone may be a little different to other Land Rover forums, but we as members make up a varied community of knowledgeable people, who will happily offer help, guidance and advise, when needed, to others. This does on the odd occasion come with a bit of p*ss taking. It's the way the forum works. Without the banter, we wouldn't attract such dregs of society like the tratterers. Without these low life scum bags the forum wouldn't be the same.

On ere in the Freelander forum we have over 32,000+ threads which include 370,000+ replies. They cover just about every question ever asked about Freelander 1's, plus some on Freelander 2's. If something new crops up we all pool our knowledge and try to work out a solution. Despite half the posts containing p*ss taking, you won't find a betterer forum when yer in need of help. There's a huge archive of helpful stuff, with regular posters who offer help to all. What other forum could boast all this and have its very own space twot too? :)

P*ss taking on ere is part of why the forum works so well. There are very few forums that can honestly say they don't take themselves too seriously, whilst joining together to help each other, when you need help and advice. And it dun't have to be Land Rover related either. If the p*ss taking starts to annoy, get even. The tratterers don't like it when reminded their drafty damp biscuit tins rust so well. Never before has a vehicle been produced, which is so good to start with, that they need to carry out so many modifications to make it bearable to live with.

Wiffout the banter, we wouldn’t attract such dregs of society like oddie, landy man 90, bob, andymanchserter, vagrant, landroverjack, jai landrover, dartmoor navigator, series71, juiceyv8, g-man, thought it was mine, johny curt 1, leg oot the bed, is it mine, and not forgetting the rest of the tratter boys that I’ve missed… for which I sincerely apologise. Wiffout these low life dregs of society the forum wouldn’t be the same.

Un lay off Gratch too. He’s me mate. He’s an honorary Freelander owner too. He’s an upstanding member of society, wiff a level headed judgement that shows leadership, responsibility, and an all round decent human. One day he may demonstrate this on the forum.

Touch paper lit... :behindsofa:

Brilliant post Hippo, sums it all up exactly:D:D:D

by the age of 69 you might have developed a sense of humour and possibly a thick skin....ah sorry at 69 someone is lifting you in your gaylander ....i'll be quiet :D

don't you know folks know that defender owners etc like takeing the mick out of freelanders after knocking their brains out on the windscreen of their car's off road and moaning about the seats while us wise one's travel in comfort with heat'd seat's and lumber adjustment .:p

you might need extra support most of us dont.

But they are called Very Disco or is that Discovery - come on who wants to drive a Very Disco Landrover ha ha

are you on drugs ?

 Who's second class? We are the owners of the REAL Land Rovers. I switched from a D2 to a FR2 and now the world is my mollusc. Freelanders are the best. Freelanders rule. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

you are on drugs

Well I'm quite new to this forum
But I love it
I have a freelander and recently said on here I'm going to do some green laning
Did I get the defender mob taking the ****???? Er yes
Did I give a crap???? Er no
They were getting more wound up than me.
Just made me laugh.
In my trade we are constantly taking the p out of each other, the stuff thrown about on here as abuse is Childs play.
Especially if you say a range or a disco is better than a defender!!!
Touchy lot the defender (Territorial Army soldier) boys ;)

Hi,
I suppose everyone knows that The Freelander Club is shutting down, so does anyone know of a similar organisation in the South of England ie:Hampshire/Dorset or is there anyone out there interested in starting a Freelander club. I"m quite interested and would be prepared to put in the hours setting it up if there was enough interest, but it would have to be based in and around Bournemouth/Southampton and outward to a radius of 50 miles. I was thinking of a club where like minded owners could seek advice, ask questions, sell or purchase Freelanders or Freelander spares, hold monthly or quarterly meetings and for a fee be provided with a decent magazine featuring photos of club members Freelanders and including an open forum.
As second class members of The Land Rover fraternity, it"s about time we had decent representation, a decent and interesting magazine for all aficionados of the brilliant FREELANDER.
Will wait with baited breath for any replies.
Dave.

If there do end up being any meetings I would be interested! :D :D

I think you'll find most of us trattor boys dont give a ****e what landy yer all drive to be honest. There just seems to be a few sensitive peeps on ere that start dummy spitting when you mention the word gaylander !

Anyways all the gaylanders I see on the roads are polite and driven reasonably( with the exception of blondes on the school run ) well , as i'm out and about on my mountain bike a lot in Dorset and the New forest and they're fookin everywhere !
