The new Engine....an update.

Just in case your interested....the company have had the engine back, found that one of the cam followers (V8) was not releasing the oil and have fixed the fault. I pick it up on Saturday and will continue to post on the after sales service i get.
I shan't mention who they are until i have sorted this all out as it would be unfair. So far they have been ok.

how much was the recovery to them in the end? or did you take engine out?

I sent the whole car at their request and would of anyway as i feel that any problems were for them to deal with.....the first quote i got was from a man who just tried to rip me off by telling fibs at £400 +vat and finally got it done by one of the guys in the courier section for less than £290 and done one or two days after i asked....top bloke, very careful....there's a thankyou post if you want to know who it was....

Did they check all of them?....... well if they're daft enough not to have done they'll have to replace them if they fail......i have to say that at this point i have no confidence in them......and am not wanting to have the car back, but they have taken action when asked and i have their word that it's good and purring like a kitten. and they have fixed the oil leak!!
I am getting my brother's poorly 64,000 mile 4.6 (oil consumption) on the engine mount and starting work on it just in case, don't think i'll sned it away this time apart from to have the top hat liners done....hopefully they value their customer reputation and all will be well....

I have decided what i am prepared to accept and if i don't get satisfaction then i will go as far as it takes to get it.

to be honest i have been planing an green laneing trip with some people i have met on here and can't wait to get it back for that and i have some more mods planned......
