Has anyone used the stick on door handle covers that are available on eBay, and their thoughts on them?

Brushed stainless DOOR HANDLE COVERS Range Rover L322 on eBay (end time 10-Feb-11 16:58:59 GMT)

Mine are not too bad at present, but has some wear marks and these do appear to tidy them up rather easy!

The previous owner of my L322 obviously wore alot of rings and the door handles were scratched to hell. I put some chrome civers on at they look much better now. Probably would have gone for brushed steel, but at the time I got mine such things weren't available. They can have a slightly sharp edge to them, but otherwise I'd say they are a good addition to a L322.

How'd you find them mate? I been considering the mfor a while, mine too are scratched to pieces (damn you drug dealers haha), but was worried they come off everytime someone opened the door? I need to do something and thats the cheapest option (and looks good from a distance), just worried they'd look a bit 'Halfordsy' if you know what I mean

Cheers

Cheers Rangey

Knew you pulled the old handle to open it, just worried when you grabbed the door handle, was there chance of only gripping the cover and yanking it off?

Anyone know how much a new set of handles are from LR?

Mine are scratched to fook and I think it's the Sun that has caused it, them damn UV's

Anyway, I'm loathed to spend £60 - £70+ for some bits of plastic covers - would rather hand paint them with Hamerite to be honest.

Saw some ACTUAL chrome handles on fleabay the other day but they were for a Sport which was a bit of a bummer.

Definately think there's a market for proper chrome or brushed handles - just cannot bring myself to buy some plastic door handle covers, it's just wrong.

If they came off easy, (they might, not sure) I would defo remove them and have my local paint shop spray them.

I don't like the look of the covers to be honest, makes them much bigger and a bit of a bodge tbh.

I put the black ones on my Grey L322 and it works a treat - doesn't make them look any bigger and they are not scratched! Applying them was simple and fast and the haven't shown any signs of falling. Really tidies up the external appearance.
