Intercooler Hoses??

Hey Guys

How soft should the intercooler hoses be?

The one going to my EGR/Manifold feels quite soft, and was considering fitting a new one.

Failing that, I am considering fitting a custom intercooler and making my own hose set up using metal/silicone

They are quite soft, take if off and look inside it make sure it is not delaminating. Other than that it should be fine.

Ok cool, checked the inside and they seem ok to me. Oily, but smooth with no issues that I can see.

Is oil in the hose going to the manifold normal?

Yes that is why you need to clean intercooler every 48,000 miles clean oil out and put it back on. Think about washing intercooler out at some stage. It makes a difference.
