hi all, well the mrs and i jumped in our trusty vw t4 van, old n slow lol. and popped up to bristol to view a 50th anniversery 300 tdi, which i was told on the phone it was ncie, hmm, lots of er RUST and WELDING everywhere, so its a leaky eh, so didnt buy that, then drove to yeovil to see another 300 tdi on a r plate, again a ruster, but othewise clean, the bottom of the A post was startin to rot, the seller didnt evn spot it, hinges were gone on rear door, drivers door hinges and lacth was shot, wot a waste of time going to see em, so im now looking fo a TD5, ive got 5grand to spend, does the td5 leak as bad as the 300 n 200's?, im told you can convert the air bags if they play up to shocks? anything elase i should look for, oh auto or manual? i only want it to tow my caravan.
the only up of the trip was , we stayed in a 14th centery pub last nite n got erm merry and good food lol!!
