Well here we go again. Once again i shal try to do the right thing, i'm really quite touched by the ammount of support a lot of you have for yella. Even though you all have your own oppinion about whats happened, so do I. I have spoken to yella this morning and i think we both know where we stand. If you can read this you have made it to the new system. We've been working on this for some time now, but I'm sure there will be problems and things not quite working right. The picture gallery is still being imported, it will eventually be here! We are now running xenForo software, which is a bit more up to date than the 6 year old vBulletin 3.8 software that we previously ran. Some new features you may like, some you may not! Please reply to this with problems and general comments. Preferably constructive! Somethings have still to be added, some things have still to be programmed. Really we shouldn't have opened up the forum again so soon, but you all pressured us(well @Rosie did) :D Please bear with us on requests and smileys...

I'm happy to announce that if all goes to plan then LandyZone will be moving to UK servers tomorrow(8th Feb). There will be about an hour or two downtime in the morning and when we come back, we should be faster than ever and no longer in the hands of the Americans! Of couse things may not go exactly to plan, so when we go offline I will be giving updates on our twitter feed at LandyZone on Twitter, so follow us there if you don't already. OK, landyzone is now back to the standard software and has been fully updated to the latest version of vbulletin. There are still a few bugs to iron out and the gallery/forsale/reviews section wont be updated for another few days or so. Sorry about the time taken to get us back! :)

Please can all Landyzoners be aware that if they receive an email or pm from 'security team' OR 'security analyst' or any other similar user names or group names or if they see a post from any of the above, they are spammers and they are trying to get you to click on an 'alleged' anti virus link. It is a virus of some kind. DO NOT CLICK THE LINK. Please can you use the 'report post' tab so that we can delete them, before they delete your hard drives. Thankyou.:)

As most of you will have noticed there have been a few user name changes recently. To be honest changing user names is something that i tried to avoid from day 1 because i'm pretty sure that in doing so i'm making a rod for my own back. Doing it for one may well just open the flood gates buy hey ho, one rule for all as they say. So those who have requested user name changes, I will try to get them done today ( i'm GMT +8 hrs at the mo though) Either way there are going to have to be some boundaries, anyone who has made a genuine mistake signing up, then fine i will change them no problem, but long term members are going to have to have a note in there title saying who they formally were. We seem to be inundated with reports of stolen landy's at the moment. Just wondering whether to make a 'stolen' section within general chat. That way people can have there own threads, and in effect the most recent ones will be much more visible to those who want to read and help. What does everyone think?

If you receive spam via pm please can you click the report triangle on the right hand side of the message and then just delete or ignore it. The latest user to be sending these pm's is 'Serendipity'. They have been banned but I don't know how many of you receieved pm's prior to them being shown the door. Cheers.

I am getting many reports that people are using the PM system to spam other members about other websites. We don't usually have a problem with people putting links in sigs or linking to relevant material on other websites, but using landyzones bandwidth for outright spamming is a bit out of order. Any reports up to now have been disregarded, but from now on anyone PM spamming or blatently spamming in the forum will be slapped on the wrists If anyone wants any advice about how to gain visits to other websites without spamming, then feel free to PM me.

Over the last couple of days I have upgraded all the software that runs this site. I'm still not finished yet and there will be bugs... If you have any problems posting in the forums then you may have to do a hard refresh. To do this hold down your CTRL key and press F5. The gallery/reviews/classifieds sections are not complete yet, but should be finished today.

SkySpy Telematics have joined Landyzone and will be trying to help us to keep track of our Pride and Joy by promoting their Tracking Systems on the forum. I'm sure they will be along shortly to introduce themselves and let us know what they have to offer.

Every now and again we outgrow our hardware, that time is once again upon us. Next week we will be moving to another server, this time one which will be easier to upgrade and expand from. There will probably be around 6-7 hours downtime and slowdowns as backups are made and the new server is ramped up... So if you turn up and get no response then you will know why!

If your reading this then you are now browsing landyzone from its new home on another server... Problems with the old server meant the site was lagging quite badly the last few days. Should be ok now :)

Some of you may have noticed that the forum was down for some time last night. This was due to a rather large crash and the resulting time needed to recover from it. There may need to be more downtime/slowdowns as we investigate further problems with the server and increase backup intervals incase it all goes tits up before the solution is found. If the forum is gone, I will keep you as updated as I can by twitter and facebook. Welcome back, I am sorry about the downtime that we have just experienced. Plenty server problems and not enough help from our datacentre. If any of you know a decent datacentre in the UK please let me know, as we have to move! Have fun!
