The bonnet release spring was always a bit weak,but now I've fitted bonnet lights its now a 2 person job to open the bonnet.Is there anything I could do to give it more spring or are there any after market replacements? Anyone else had this problem after fitting a light pod on the bonnet?

Im looking at fitting a Tim temp gauge to my 300 Disco.I would like to run it along side the original landy one.Is there some kind of T piece I could put both senders in or will I have to put it in one of the radiator hoses.Any info or links would be a great help.
