Yep 2 stroke oil (green, as red goes pink and creates interest). That and regular servicing, filters and fluids. Son has 1989 90 TD. It's returning 27mpg ish weekly and we live in the Pennines. On a run at steady 50mph it will do 30mpg+ Here is the thread where I discovered it on...

Add 250ml of stroke to every full tank of diesel. Works a treat on mpg and engine pulls better at low rev's.

Just done a oil, fuel and air filter change. Removed Britpart and replaced with Bearmack. Similar prices for both so are we agreed Bearmack is better quality?

Just checked the oils catch can and cleaned the pipes. It was a sludge in the pipes and at the inlet & outlet to catch can. No oil in bottom of it though. Air filter much much better, no oil at all, just general dust and muck. Pleased with that. Did oil, + filters (fuel, oil, air)...

Sainsbury £1000 with legal & green flag for landie just son owner driver fully comp (19, 1yr ncd) Sainsbury Pixo £151 with legal and curtsy car for mum and dad fully comp. Dad can drive landie on 3rd party on own insurance.

Price's are ok, no ncd at that money still ok BUT What is the mileage and when can you use it?

Its the V8 & 3.5 that they will rub their hands at. Many a grand Burtie, probably much more than the motor is worth. Like the Dr said is correct though, leave it a year or 2 and ask just before you need it. Best of luck.

Just had renewal for 1989 90 TD standard van. Owner, driver 18yrd + Dad added as additional driver. After shopping round now putting it on a multi car policy with Mum's 1 litre Pixo £1350 fully comp for both with Aviva Pixo was £250 last year.

The oil was coming from the rocker cap filter Wolf. That pipe does go into the catch can then clean air comes out into the Airbox inlet pipe. Hopefully the filter will keep clean and also the turbo should on receive clean air and not old oil as well. This will help it run cleaner and better.
