I forgot to mention that it's km not miles, so even less. Let's just say they came with the vcu. I'll get them sorted, buy original LR parts as suggested here.

Thanks guys. The bearings was fitted by a garage 2 years ago, found the receipt which also have the mileage written on it, 207500 it's now 213000'ish. Not lived a hard life, been stationary for long periods of time due to hgf for example.

Freelander 1 Changed VCU bearings 2 years ago...

Evening ladies and gets. Changed my VCU bearings 2 years ago along with a recon VCU. Last year the car has sounded a bit sick, to say the least. Turning left in roundabouts etc. and the car makes some bad noise. Had a LR day today, failed it's norwegian MOT of course, and I thought I would have...

The TC system got a mind of it's own..

Hello all! Well, after having some troubles with yet another (unknown which), ABS sensor , I'm now pleased to report that the three amigos has disappeared. However... The TC system now got a mind of it's own? I'm still guessing it's got something to do with one of the sensors, but I have not...

It was bought from Ebay, probably cost more to return it than the new one that I bought locally. :)

Refurbish rims, anyone got any experience?

It would have to be the UK.. :) To many MG parts that needs to be changed, as well as the Expansive lander. Every time my parents R75 needs a major service, they book a trip to the UK and visit Lates. Been to Germany numerous times, but there is something special with the UK. The culture...

Refurbish rims, anyone got any experience?

haha, if the result turns out to be bad, I could always use the set of 5 almost 100% 16 inch alloys and buy new rubber for them. :) I have done many things over the years, but ref. alloys is not one of them. :) Thanks for the tip, I've got a good compressor and a sand blaster, so I think that is...

    Whooops, I do it again...

Cheers mate. Much appreciated! Day light running lights are mandatory up here, and I can use fogs and sidelight combo legally. Had a discussion in a thread a while back. Here it is. I'm not proud to say it, but I now use a mk2 MGF/TF switch (Which is the same one) and some very questionable...

K-series, keeps eating the cam belt.. Advice please?

A late reply, sorry about that. Thought I would post the solution if anyone in the future should go completely mad and use the search function.. ;) Turned out to be the new water pump. I thought the mechanic that did this job for me had already changed the new water pump, but he had not done...

Refurbish rims, anyone got any experience?

Thank you all for your input! Much appreciated! The problem is the price over here, I have made some inquiries, and looks like it's around the £200 mark for one wheel.. And I have 5.. So that's out of the question. :) Would probably be cheaper to ship them over to the UK and have them done...

    Whooops, I do it again...

I bought a similar set, brand new and in the box like yours, only with the V6 lamps and brackets. (bought the correct ones on the bay of many things.:) ) Quick question. I followed the instructions to the letter when I installed it, however the fogs will only operate with the lights in...

Refurbish rims, anyone got any experience?

Hello all. Bought a set of 17" rims for silly money, including the spare. As my existing summer wheels, same rims but 16" need new rubber, I thought I would give it a go and refurbish these. Previous owner seem to have just painted over them with a spray can, which does not look to good. I...
