Hi all, I was having a discussion today with the lads in the workshop on what is the biggest engine you could fit in a freelander. Has anybody tried to fit a different/bigger engine in one. we had an old freelander kicking around the work shop that we use for pulling/dragging things around.

As above, you can buy the whole lot as one unit for about £15, everything motor, runners ect wont take more than 30min to change it.

Changed front brake pads, changed NSF wheel bearing, repaired starter motor, replaced front passenger electric window, changed rear diff mounts. Phew I think I've earned a brew

Hi all sorry not been on here for a while no internet, As said my rear diff mount's keep failing I have replaced 3-sets in 18 months getting costly. does anybody have any ideas as to why it might be happening. I have also replaced the VCU and prop bearings but still the rear diff mounts keep...

Removed starter motor and changed the electrical contacts now starts first time.

Here here I'm thinking on the same lines as Nodge68 on this one also I think the sensor at the pump end is electronic try some electric contact cleaner. what ever the problem and solution eventually is don't forget to post it back here it may help others cheers

Hi All, Got a bit of a problem with the old girl, the hard plastic pipe for the clutch has sprung a leak. It has a small hole in it, removed master and slave cylinder as not able to remove pipe work whilst in-situ cant see hoe the pipe comes off I have removed the split pin bit it still wont...

Luckily there was no metal fragment contamination. Worth thinking about the washer may go and get one and put it on as a safety measure. Cheers once again

Oil done, bloody ell Ian you weren't kidding when you said about the filler plug for the IRD had to use a 1/2inch breaker bar. Thought that I was going to round off the head at one point. Celt69
