    Duly updated! ;)

    Discovery 1 Discovery 300tdi

1995 Land Rover Discovery. 100% genuine mileage. MOT failure due to body work corrosion underneath. It's a real shame as the vehicle is in good condition otherwise. The engine is sweet as a nut, starts and runs faultlessly. I bought it from the old boy who had it from new just before it ran out...

Series 1 Barn find (an actual one)

My bad on it being a series 2, like I said no idea. Anyone got a rough valuation, I’m assuming it’s in good nick structurally but you never know.

Series 1 Barn find (an actual one)

I’m working on the owner of this beaut at the moment to see if he’ll sell it. I’ve always had defenders and know little about early Land Rovers, what should I be paying for it, what model am I looking at etc. Thanks in advance.

    Under used 1994 Defender 90

East Yorkshire and open to sensible offers. Been out of the Land Rover scene for a few years and unsure of current value.

    Under used 1994 Defender 90

Land Rover Defender 90 300tdi with approx 150k on the engine. Brand new gearbox and transfer box from Ashcroft transmissions. Many modifications added over the last 10 years or so. Never got chance to use in anger off-roading, just used as a lamping vehicle on the farm. Currently has no...

    Performance in the cold

Performance wise all engines should run better with colder air charge temperatures. As a rough guide for every 1degree C lower you can get the charge air temp into the combustion chamber, you can count on gaining 1 bhp. Starting may be harder due to the diesel being more viscous, hence you need...

    QT Propshaft UJ's

Nope, I doubt they'd have been open today anyway. Am working non stop next week with no chance to make a call to them or chance to order parts, hence I posted the question on here today hoping someone would know. Tom

    QT Propshaft UJ's

Hi guys, Anyone know which UJ's it is that QT services use for their 300tdi wide angle prop shafts? Wanting to get some ordered today and I've forgotten which they use. Regards Tom

    Door Hinges

Can you fit the newer improved design, later model hinges to earlier model defenders? Sick of the old model type wearing out and sagging! Tom

    Defender 90 Front doors

As per the title, I'm after a pair of front doors for my defender 90, must be in good nick, preferably without rust and not for silly money, don't care about colour as its already a patchwork quilt! cheers tom

    lining and insulating a defender

Its all well and good insulating the vehicle to the eye balls, but without any heat to keep in - i.e from your heater, there isn't much point. Get the heater fixed, then use some 1" kingspan, celotex or similar cut to the size of the panels and 6mm ply on top of that. Unfortunately unless you do...

    Front brake hose's

Cheers for the advice guys, gonna make up the new pipes tomorrow. Quite a few of the other cars I've worked on in the past (mostly Fords) the flexi pipe has had a rotating connection on the caliper end, thus allowing its easy removal. Just out of interest does anyone know the part number of...

    Front brake hose's

Hi lads, long time no post. Just in the process of putting new discs and pads up front of my 1994 300tdi defender, but Ive hit a snag. The solid hose at the caliper end of the N/S was seized solid and no amount of lube or subsequent 'last resort' heat would free them - without rotating the pipe...

    axle guru...

Nah not that significant and certainly not enough to make it pull as wildly as you describe. The main noticable effect of castor being way out is excessively or quickly worn UJ's, it shouldn't drive any differently.

Have the springs either sagged with time or have you got slightly higher springs than standard ? Either would cause caster to be out.

    Springs

https://www.lrdirect.com/nrc9446-coil-spring/ The OME springs are £36 and the sh*tpart are £18. Are these still +2"? Seems a wee bit pricey for springs? Not that I'm looking for a cheap spring but a good quality one non the less. Tom

    Springs

Having had sh*tpart + 2" springs on for 5 years, my 90 is now sat at a jaunty angle, the front is 1" out of level and the rear is similar. So I'm after a new set of decent springs that arent made from recycled washing machines. Same again +2", but not sh*tpart from Paddocks. Recommendations of...
