Fantastic buy, well done on your d2. I'm looking for a 2004 hse or es premium with similar mileage right now. I'm in southern Ireland, but happy to travel for the right disco. Can I ask what you finally paid as prices seem crazy for some currently uk listed landmark versions.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Fixed the clutch hydralucs finally.... Also did the brakes disks and pads. Had 95% left on pads and 70% left of disks but they were rusted and groved away. Pads fell apart on emptying and disk needed such a massive sledge hammer attack to get off. But all sorted now and no squeling... Loving the...

Freelander 1 Broke car doing simpliest clutch diy :( help please!

Ya so, for the record. Bearmach themselves (not resellers) were consistently wrong to offer my that part and gave me bad info and argueably a bad quality product. Got refunded and ordered an oem 160 from another Irish supplier and it's running soooooo smooth!! Thanks to all for the assistance

Thought bearmach was good... I'll go oem after this. I had thought to lenghten the rod... Or put a spacer in the master cylinder rod receiver, as the rod is always separated. I'm thinking 15mm???

Ya, local makes sense. Finding the prob in 1 hour and waiting 5 days for replacement is daft. :(

Ya I came to the same conclusion and will order. While I wait I want to know what the diff is between 160 and 180. Will it cause the issues I have or have I damaged something else, I hope it's not the pedal or clutch itself :(

See this https://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/superseded/stc000160-use-stc000180.html Bloody confusing However I'd say the above is wrong. https://bearmach.com/rhd-clutch-slave-master-cylinder-ftc5196r is the ftc519r I have and they also use the 180 number. Hopefully 160 might work.

Ok... So FTC5196R is 180 I guess. What do you mean by will not fit? Is the fitment issue like the problem I'm describing? Trying hard now to see the difference between the two. I read once the only difference was the length of pipe but not certain on that. I tried to free up the clutch arm but...

Another update. Forced it into gear with engine off and clutch and brake fully depressed. Engine runs normally but when u lift off brake car moves. If u lift off clutch car jumps forward. Impossible to change gear when running. Also, got stuck in reverse. Couldn't get out of gear for over an...

So.... despite giving the VIN to bearmach I think they got it wrong. On their site FTC5196R is for chassis to YA000001 mine is 1A311xxx I think I need part number stc000160 / stc000180 / stc000120 which is for cars from 1A000001 You wouldnt mind... but after the first part failed I did give...

Small update. I decided to go and pump the pedal to see it it was air. I felt the ""tiniest"" resistance and full pedal push. Had me thinking that perhaps again it is not fully seated, off by 10mm or so. I had another closer inspection in the footwell and the pushrod has only come out again of...

Hi Folks, Feeling pretty numptyish and could really do with some help. So I got my freelander 2 weeks ago. It just passed the NCT (irish mot) and was running fine. I decided that I wanted to change tyres, chase a clunking noise and change the master slave clutch system. Well, I ordered tyres...

Will start writing here folks ;) Changed rear diff mounts but no effect on clunking. Changed cluthch hydraulics. Slave seemed almost dead and maybe killed her on way out. Lack of use over last few years had slave piston corroded. Bearmacch replacement seemed to fallapart but they do seem know nd...
