there is only a sender unit in the tank on td4 lp fuel pump is under lefh hand wheel arch along with filter and sediement housing.

Td4 only has sender unit in tank, petrols are located in tank. Td4 LP pump is under the rear left wheel arch cover by a plastic cover and is pig of a job to do.

I thick that's for petrol engine not diesel

If I was you take it back and get your money back and find another from somewhere else.

Take it back to the dealer and ask them to check the vacums hoses all around the engine, then possibly the injectors and lastly the low pressure fuel pump and filter. it the best i can offer as you still have 3 months warranty.

Just make sure you have a good earth from the battery to chassis too

Check the main negative battery lead and all the chassis mounted earths.

I would be looking at an earth fault as this happened on my old disco as the body rotted way on the earth side from the battery, its worht checking.
