If the battery is a lipo then its broken and the bubbling means its about to burst in to flames or blow up. If its a ni-cad then they just get warm and don't cause a threat . You need to get on google and find out how to get ride of the lipo safely. It needs to be put in salt water for 24 hrs...

I used to do two warm ups then turn the key and leave it to tick over for 5 and try not to rev it to much while pulling away, but fuel is bloody damn expensive to do that now.
