Hi the transfer box ... gear oil... is what is used... to me dex 2 is the same as dex 3 might be a new additives to improve life of the oil ..higher operating temp ect bit i think these are backwards compatible normally hope this helps

cheers for that .. the connector and the loom are paired eg only the non egr loom and ecu will pair and the egr loom and ecu... there are different no on the ecu eg ERR , MSB ECT what is the significance of these anybody

they are both non egr.... so a resync should make them work...just another quick question is there a different remap for the egr and non egr...

Hey guys is there any way to unlock an ECU or is it a specialist job a friend has given me a chipped ECU but its locked to another RR. can a test book do this or autologic ... just wondering.

A lot of the problems are with week batteries... leave the box..and put the 3l bmw lump in wireing loom conversion.. they 230 break.. no problems and if u wanted to get rid of the transfer bmw man box aswell keep the turbo.

Thanks guys i my self have a manual one and i bought an auto for my dad as he loved mine had to pry keys away from him.. he is getting on auto suits him better. but his is gutless... my friend has an auto with a power box and it makes some difference but his engine and box have only 26k on...

Wammers is correct these gearboxes are a little troublesome should get an oil and filter change every 40k miles or so if you check the oil and its burnt change it check the filter aswell for bits of metal.. if its just started to happen u might be able to save it treatment helps aswell if the...

Hi Guys just wondering if anyone can help me.. The Lift Pump in my jeep is staying on even after I take the key out and lock the jeep.. have changed the fuse box as these give trouble have changed the relay with a working one anyone come across this before.. ( 97 RR p38 diesel )
