I put an AP Driveline in mine about 10 days ago from Paddocks and have just spent the last week driving round the west coast of Ireland with no probs. hahaha that brings back memories of a few years ago when I first changed mine. thought I was doing something wrong cos no way would anyone design a car with a crossmember right underneath a drain plug

don't want to jinx things but had a similar problem couple of weeks ago, replaced the slave cylinder (cos it was leaking) then about 5 days later had your exact symptoms and now in the middle of putting a new clutch in. a couple of the springs in the plate had shat themselves. good luck!

you checked the temp gauge has a good earth? does it go higher quicker if you start turning lights, etc on? or is it actually getting really fooking hot?
