Ah, but mine is an early Gayla, err I mean Freelander! Its a 2000 (W) reg. Looks like a dear doo for a full set o BFGs so looks like Wranglers or Scorpions then.

On MHMs F.A.Qs thread, he says that the Wranglers are good for 20 - 24k the BFGs for upto 50k? & Scorpions less than 10k. If this is the case, the BFGs ar probably the better bet, if I can find some 215/65x16s. They look nice n chunky but are they noisy?

The spare is a Wrangler but its as bald as a..................well, a bald thing with no hair! :(

Im in the same boat, I want some spots too, dunno which is the best route to go though, them pod type things, spot light brackets or get an A bar & put some on that? I enquired about 04 spot pods but the bloke just said they wont fit earlier models, no explanation or owt just they wont fit.

I did my tailgate regulator last Thursday. I did read the bike brake cable fixes etc but ended up getting a complete new reg for £88 delivered off t`internet, did it all start to finish in 1 hour 5 mins (yes I did time myself - sad git) with help from Haynes & I`m no mechanic. :D

Thats just two of the Landys I see around here quite often, that was taken about 400 yds from my house (but Im on top of the hill) hence my question of "how deep?" The red one does have a snorkel Im sure but dunno bout the other one. I would not attempt that in the Freelander.

I think I mjay have seen it in Swinton. There seems to be loads of 90s, Discos & Defenders round here lately. I wish I had kept my old series 3.
