I have never replaced a diff pan but if i was going to do this then i would cut the old pan with grinder !!! welding the new pan is not the problem but try to clean inside diff casing :rolleyes: you could imagine :eek: I would say try to patch it.

hi you could get a stud extractors or an easy out set but bare in mind still need to drill with easy out !!! I could lend you a set if you live near by.

i have 200tdi disco (no EGR), cleaned my intercooler three months ago and it was full of gunk i put that to split in hose :)
