Must admit I did not think to check the turbo hoses but again it seems to be blowing from the other side to the manifold and turbo. I will have a look in day light tomorrow.

The power seemed okay on the motorway but I was keeping my speed down, it did seem low once i got into town. What would a compression test involve and what was it possibly show. many thanks!
