it will be rain water as I have replaced O rings and matrix .stopped the rain getting in on passenger side when I soldered the wires that were corroded in the white plug never thought to check drivers side doh!! thank you all for the great advice .that's my weekend sorted.

so take out becm dry it out and check for corrosion find and stop water getting in, put it all back in and get it on diagnostics and see what happens ,simples!!

my 1998 4.6 hse has many problems several which are linked to corrosion to the white connections in the front passenger foot well which throws up alarm fault and wont let it start. I'm going to solder the wires together but there is 13 in one and 14 in the other what do I do with the extra one...
